MZ Automation libiec61850 URCB Revalidation reporting.c deleteDataSetValuesShadowBuffer use after free

A vulnerability was found in MZ Automation libiec61850 up to 1.6.1. The affected element is the function deleteDataSetValuesShadowBuffer of the file src/iec61850/server/mms_mapping/reporting.c of the component URCB Revalidation. CWE-119 Improper Restriction of Operations within the Bounds of a Memory Buffer

The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it reads from or writes to a memory location outside the buffer's intended boundary. This may result in read or write operations on unexpected memory locations that could be linked to other variables, data structures, or internal program data.

CWE-416 Use After Free

The product reuses or references memory after it has been freed. At some point afterward, the memory may be allocated again and saved in another pointer, while the original pointer references a location somewhere within the new allocation. Any operations using the original pointer are no longer valid because the memory "belongs" to the code that operates on the new pointer.
