LoginA directory traversal vulnerability exists in the Web Manager File Upload functionality of Lantronix PremierWave 2050 8.9.0.0R4. A specially-crafted HTTP request can lead to arbitrary file overwrite. An attacker can make an authenticated HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.

The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
