LoginA Directory Traversal issue was discovered in the Web GUI in Titan FTP Server 2019 Build 3505. When an authenticated user attempts to preview an uploaded file (through PreviewHandler.ashx) by using a \..\..\ technique, arbitrary files can be loaded in the server response outside the root directory.

The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
