CVE-2017-12364

A SQL Injection vulnerability in the web framework of Cisco Prime Service Catalog could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute unauthorized Structured Query Language (SQL) queries. The vulnerability is due to a failure to validate user-supplied input that is used in SQL queries. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted SQL statement to an affected system. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to read entries in some database tables. CWE-89 Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')

The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.
