Absolute path traversal vulnerability in the EbCrypt.eb_c_PRNGenerator.1 ActiveX control in EBCRYPT.DLL 2.0.0.2087 and earlier in EB Design ebCrypt allows remote attackers to create or overwrite arbitrary files via a full pathname in the argument to the SaveToFile method. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
